JOIN OUR AWARD WINNING CHAPTER
Kehilat Shalom, a vital conservative congregation in the Gaithersburg Maryland, is looking
for a part-time USY Advisor to help lead our award winning chapter. We have an enthusiastic
group that has won Seaboard Region’s Chapter of the Year two years in a row and the
Solomon Schecter National Gold Award of Excellence! Our chapter has grown to more than 50
members and our USY advisor now needs an assistant to run this group.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic and a positive role model for our 9th-12th graders.
The assistant advisor will be required to assist in programming and attend monthly activities,
attend monthly USY Board meetings and attend some regional events under the direction of the
Youth Director. We are looking for someone who has a desire to foster Jewish culture and
programming for Jewish teens and can commit to 15 hours per month. Advisors must have their own transportation.
