Full-time Youth Director for a Large Conservative Synagogue in DC Metro area
B’nai Israel, a large, vibrant Conservative congregation in Rockville, Maryland, seeks a full-time Youth Director to
- Manage the Youth Department including 4 youth groups serving students in grades K thru 12
- Supervise & provide on-going training and support for a team of youth advisors
- Work with a dynamic professional team to create meaningful Jewish experiences for youth
- Develop positive rapport with youth, parents, and staff
- Be a role model for Jewish youth
- Other education responsibilities may be available, depending on credentials
Applicant should
- Be outgoing, enthusiastic, and creative
- Demonstrate excellent administrative and communication skills
- Possess strong background in informal Jewish education (youth groups, camps)
- Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
