Beth El Looking for New Youth Director
Are you creative, energetic and enthusiastic? Do you enjoy working with young people?
If so, you might be Beth El Synagogue’s next youth director!
The director is responsible for cultivating a strong youth culture within the synagogue, by developing and
implementing religious, educational and social programming, activities and leadership training for youth from
third grade through high school. In addition, he or she will direct synagogue outreach to the congregations
college students.
This full-time position requires strong interpersonal, administrative and communication skills, plus the ability
to manage budgets and youth group finances, and maintain frequent communication with youth and parents via e-mails
and flyers.
Additional qualifications include: knowledge of Conservative Judaism (prayers, rituals and holidays); a
bachelors degree with either a major or strong emphasis on Judaic Studies; musical background (musician or song leader);
an enthusiastic team player.
