Job Available: Assistant Youth Director for HaNegev Region

Job Description

* Oversees the planning, programming and execution of Kadima
sub/regional events, including but not limited to Encampment, Kadima Sub
Regional Conventions, 8th Grade "Gesher" Convention and all dances/regional
programs.
* Oversees all regional Kadima dances/programs by sending out
publicity and coordinating with hosting chapter.
* Works with the regional youth director in assisting chapters,
chapter boards and synagogue youth staff- makes chapter visits to Kadima
chapters.
* Oversees the planning, programming and Disney Day
* Works with the regional youth director in initiating and
implementing new regional programs and projects including but not limited to
the goals of increasing regional membership, promoting religious and social
action programming, raising awareness regarding Yad B'Yad tzedakah fund,
promoting leadership training for youth and synagogue staff, increasing
support and knowledge of Israel, and promoting USY summer programs
specifically USY on Wheels East.
* Oversees the purchasing of supplies for all Kadima events and the
proper use of supplies at events
* Verifies Kadima membership for all regional events and follows up
with chapters where membership registration is necessary
* Fosters relationships with HaNegev alumni by seeking out local USY
alumni, collecting contact information and overseeing the Alumni committee
and plans for reunions and creating a database.
* Other additional tasks as assigned by the Regional Youth Director to
ensure the proper administration of the region
* Must observe kashrut, Shabbat & holidays, and conduct his/her
personal life as defined by the Committee on Jewish Law & Standards

The Assistant Director's direct supervisor will be the Regional Youth
Director, with ultimate responsibility to the Executive Director of
Southeast Region. You will also receive guidance from the Regional Youth
Commission Chairperson.
